SHAH ALAM: A sports centre geared towards extreme activities will be built here as an alternative entertainment haunt for youngsters to spend their time wisely, according
to the Shah Alam City Council. (MBSA).
The facility, known as the Shah Alam Extreme Park, would provide a different entertainment avenue after the council disallowed cinemas to be built in the city, MBSA assistant public
relations officer Shahrin Ahmad said.
Shahrin said the extreme park located on a 5.2ha site in Section 13 would be part of Shah Alam's Sports Complex.
The sports centre is expected to be completed by the middle of next year at a cost of RM4.5 million.
It would have, among others, six futsal courts, a paint- ball activity centre, Boulder Park, cycling court, rugby field and a family recreational corner and a fast food restaurant.
Shahrin said the Shah Alam Extreme Park was part of the council's plans to upgrade the Shah Alam Sports Complex. - Bernama
