Sole What One Year Old, Krookz, Skate Shoes Dilemma, Kurt Cobain Converse Is On Sale, X-Large iPhone Casing

Sorry for the late post. We had some technical issues for the last 2 days which prevents us from updating our blog as usual. Nevertheless, this update contains six news which impress and excite us. Read on.

Sole What is now 1 year old! Check out the celebration pictures at http://solewhat.blogspot.com/2008/09/sole-what-1st-anniversary-event-pics.html

Times Square has a new street ware and skate shop on 6th floor, Krookz, which delivers products such as Nike SB, Vans, Supreme etc. Expect grand opening on this October.

Skate shoes, are they for sports or fashion? New York Times has published their findings at http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/25/fashion/25skates.html?_r=2&pagewanted=1&ref=fashion&oref=slogin . This is a good article since recently; all of us have been bombarded with good looking skate shoes which we feel pity to be destroyed for skateboarding.

Sneaker Freaker Magazine once again impressed us with their fresh articles. They recently published two interview articles with two strong people behind the sneaker business. They are Eric Obre, DC Shoe Director of Footwear and Kevin Imamura, Marketing Manager West Nike SB. The interviews can be viewed at http://www.sneakerfreaker.com/articles/The-Biz-Eric-Obre-DCSHOES/ and http://www.sneakerfreaker.com/articles/The-Biz-Kevin-Imamura-Nike-Sb/ respectively.

Kurt Cobain Converse is out! Kix-Files, one of the prominent sneaker online stores do sell them but our latest check out turn out disappointing. Kurt Cobain Converse sold out at Kix-files. Better check out at your nearest Converse store. Whatever it is, this pair of Converse shoes cost you a whooping USD 90! But in terms of investment or collectibles, hey, this is cheap isn't it? The design seems a bit different what we saw months ago. It looks a bit dirty and rugged. Maybe Converse is trying to replicate exactly what Kurt's Converse really look like. Final words, grunge fans, grab this no matter what!

X-large is in iPhone casing business. The casing is colorless except at the back where you can find X-large logo.

Last but not least, to Umusu Muslim readers, Happy Aidiladha!

Salute to Skate Malaysia, Nike Mid-Autumn Festival Pack, Shoes to Combat AIDS and Vans Chimp

First of all, we want to salute people at Skate Malaysia for their effort to collect and donate their used but playable skateboard stuff to Skateistan (Afghanistan skate school). That's not all, from the forum post, it seems they are using their money for the postage fees. Kudos to them. For those of you who are interested to join in and give a hand, why not drop by at

http://wankedah.proboards49.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=ideas&thread=975&page=1

Nike is releasing Mid-Autumn Festival Pack containing a Terminator, Air Max 1 and Blaze for China market only. Nevertheless, we really like the gold color, symbolizes rich and prosperity, which really match the Chinese culture very well.

Colette, GAP and Converse (Red) collaborated to produce a sneaker model which is Chuck Taylor, meant to combat AIDS. 5% of the sale of this shoe model will be channeled to appropriate agencies.

Dave the Chimp will be the first UK artist to collaborate with Vans to produce exclusive pack of stuff consisting of a pair of shoes, skate deck, 2 Vans tees, Dave the Chimp's fanzine and Vanzine.

Illusion Labs will be the first company to produce and release the first iphone skate game named Touch Grind. See how the game works here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nNz8qVFz-I . We don't know whether this will be a phenomenon or not but it seems sort of boring. Flipping and flipping, where's the challenge? Anyway, who knows this will be another hit like Wii? Nothing beats the real skateboarding that's for sure.

Kanye West will hold a concert in Singapore, part of his 'Glow in the dark tour' on Wednesday 29th October 08 at Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Kim Lesser designed special kicks for Obama and those kicks are named as Obama Force One. On the right side of the sole is written 'A black man runs and a nation is behind him'. Those kicks were exhibited at McCain Exhibition. America's election is kinda cool with unexpected stuff isn't it?

31st December 2008 not only means our 51st Independence but also means the 3rd anniversary of streething.com! An Australian sneaker pimp Sekure D made special customized sneakers, Streething Nike Dunk Low for Streething. Check out the shoes below, go to http://www.streething.com/archives/4600 for more details and nevertheless, happy birthday Streething!

Puma Kids recently releases its line os Suede Deer. Although these Suede are not appropriate for our climate due to the fur which might raise the temperature of your foot, making your foot to sweat a lot and turn your Puma into a mini swimming pool, the shoes do look nice aren't they?

Hey guys, stand up and go to Freedom Film Fest now since the festival will end today at 11pm! Held annually, Freedom Film Fest will show documentaries regarding social matters. Venue is at The Annexe Gallery, KL. Go now and don't regret later.

Tired of Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera? Why not try the brand new and polished Google Chrome from Google. It is a new generation browser designed specially to cope with the sophisticated and complex codes of the internet. To understand better, read Google Chrome comic at http://blogoscoped.com/google-chrome . To experience Google Chrome, go to http://www.google.com/chrome . Try it! It is a light as a feather but don't expect it to runs website faster if nothing had been done to improve you connection speed. If you connection speed is slow, it will not help anyway. Just like a Ferrari behind a lorry. Rumors said that Google made it open source so that other browser developers can 'steal' the idea from Google Chrome and design a better and safer browsers for all. Yeah, Google is too rich now, why should Google eat others anyway? :)
