Save Southbank Skateboarding Area, X Large Archieve, World Wide BAPE Head Show, Nike Jaws

Skateboarders in London are now in struggle to save their Southbank Skateboarding area from being wiped out for the potential development of commercial shopping area. It is actually a sheltered area beneath the Queen Elizabeth Hall and it has been a common place for skaters to hang out and become part of the citizens. Winston Whitter and Tony Shuall produced a 20 minutes documentary video titled "Save The Southbank" to create public awareness of that place and at the same time, raise signatures for petition. Since we are Malaysians, we cant sign it. What we can do is, learn from this experience. If it something that important to the community, voice it!

Phu and Royalefarm produced sneakers based on a fiction story battle between to customized sneakers titled "Death from Above". (???!!!) Anyway, the sneakers do look like the American Aircraft that you usually see in history channel, you know, the one with jaw teeth. Whatever it is, they are good looking sneakers.

New Balance 20th Anniversary, Stabs Spring / Summer, Converse Shoes With Wheels!, Sunburst Program, Unpublished Panorama Scene, Skull Screaming Nike

Sorry for the delay, on 7 March 2008, there was a New Balance 20th Anniversary cermony at Leftfoot Anthropology store, Holland Village, Singapore. 200 exclusive kicks from the past, present and future were exhibited together with a pair of New Balance Rose 576, throned in a prestige room. Johan's graffiti was there too and collections of music from Dj Ume from Japan were played on that anniversary ceremonony.

Sunburst program schedulle has been announced. Check out the flyer below. The event starts from 2pm and will end on the next day at 2am. The 12 hours will be filled up with non stop music. There are 4 stages all together named as Sun Stage, Sky Stage, Hitz.fm Stage and Era Stage. The good thing is you can choose what to listen like your radio and the bad thing happen when your favourite artists overlap each other, just like the radio. Dont worry, go to the middle and you can have both since you have two ears!

NAHUL has made a cool piece of art from tearing a Nike Air Force One shoes, which is a skull screaming (form our point of view) at Sneaker Pimp Mexico recently.


Talking about skull, Nike will release 2 special dunks for St. Pauli thinking movement. Dunk Low for Germany, Australia and Switzerland and Dunk High for europe.

Terry Richardson, Hermit, Supreme, Nike Spring 08 Collections, Japan Foundation Super Fiction, Shane Cross, KARSEi, New Proton Perdana, Maimun Result

Terry Richardson, Hermit and Supreme joined together to produce new products for this Spring / Summer 2008. A poster of them is spotted at Glette, Paris which you can see below and this started the official hype. Skateboarding decks have been announced and expect apparels to come out later.


Remember Shane Cross, an amature skater who died in an accident when he rode with Ali Boulala? Yesterday, there was a tribute gathering at Fitzroy Bowl, Melbourne, Australia in memorizing him and the terrible accident that caused him died and Ali Boulala, his friend and also a profession skater, to suffer a major trauma.

http://dinzz.net produced pictures which are believed to be Proton Perdana replacement model. What we can say is, when we look at it for the first time, the first word that came out of our mouths is "Wow". Seriously it looks alligent and we believed that Proton engineers are the one who designed this model after the production of Gen 2 and Proton BLM, which is 100% original ideas. But after a short search and research, we found that this new Perdana model is actually Mitsubishi Grunner 380. Hurm, we kinda bit disappoint since this will somehow, give bad impression to Proton for duplicating models. Like it or not, we do found this car impressive and luxurious.



Maimun Yusuf yesterday had around 600 votes on her while her both opponents gained around 30,000++ votes each. Long way to go granny.

This week, Umusu snippet brings some other news other than street related stuff. Why? We think this widow deserve a recognition for her humble presence on this year general election. You may laugh but for us, this is an inspiring story.

This humble widow remind us a movie, " The World Fastest Indian". One of the crew heard about this grandma on the tv news recently and we decided to search on the net for more information. Finding her information was a brezzee since not only us that fascinated with her tiny humble presence on the Malaysian General Election scene.

Meet Maimun Yusuf, a 89 years old grandmother who make a living by selling Songket on her trusty bike. She will be contesting for one of the Terengganu Parlimentary seats.

Maimun Yusuf said although she is uneducated, poor and old, she will continue her dreams to stand up what she believes is right. She do not care wheather she lose since becoming a contestant itself has fulfilled her dreams.

When asked what make her to join the election, she said she wants to help people in her village and build beautufil schools and offices. She said lots of the politicians say wrong stuff nowadays and she wants to change that. She said, she is old and have seen a lot of things and let her take the lead (something like that). She dislike PAS (Parti Agama Islam SeMalaysia) since she thinks PAS will sell Terengganu to Japan since PAS flag looks like the Japan flag.

Maimun Yusuf spent RM10,000 for the election fee, RM2000 for her posters and RM200 for her "Operation Room" and mind you guys, she is one of the people who receive RM200 per month from Jabatan Kebajikan Terengganu. For campaigning, she only use her bike and she campaigns while selling Songket.

Maimun Yusuf has tried 4 times before for the general elections but all her four tries before were rejected by the SPR since she did not met the requirements. Now, after 20 years, Maimun Yusuf finnaly made it on track. When asked about the money which will definately burn out if she lose, she said she does not care since money can be find.

Ok. Some might think she is crazy, but whatever it is, some of the girls that we know told us that they are like going to burst in tears. Although she is unrealistic and what she believe seems crazy, when we considered her age, she surely endured the British era, Japanese Invasion, Independence of our country, 13 Mei etc and that drove her to speak since she saw it all! Spent around RM13,000 for the election when she herself receive help for Jabatan Kebajikan and only campaign alone using his bike, Maimun Yusuf has the pure heart for her cause to compete for this year general election.
